As Council member and editor of the AFI New Zealand Journal of Astrology, I work closely with the Astrology Foundation Incorporated (AFI).

About AFI

The Astrology Foundation, Inc is a non-profit friendly society providing a stimulating environment for those with an interest in Astrology.

It was spontaneously conceived at 11.47 am NZDT in Auckland on the 7th of November 1983 by Owen Redwood Avis, Mark Griffin and Hamish Saunders of Astrology House.

On the 24th of December 1984 it was granted legal incorporation. The inaugural meeting of the AFI took place at 7.30 pm on the 14th of August 1984 in Auckland.

Objectives

To promote and encourage the practice and study of Astrology.
To facilitate and conduct seminars, workshops, lectures and social occasions.
To regularly publish the New Zealand Journal of Astrology.
To encourage and co-ordinate the efforts of members to undertake astrological learning and research.
To maintain standards in astrological learning and practice.

AFI Monthly meetings

As from February 2007, AFI monthly meetings will be held in the NPSC Assn Clubrooms, cnr 119 Queen St & Bartlett St, Northcote Point, Auckland.

AFI Meetings are held on the first Sunday of the month* from 7.00 - 9.00 pm Lectures start 7.30 pm.

*Please note: when AFI meetings fall on a public holiday (eg Waitangi Day 6^th February & Queen’s Birthday weekend, 1^st Sunday in June) the AFI meeting is held on the 2^nd Sunday of the month.

AFI members admitted free of charge.
Non-members pay door fee of $10.00.
