AstroTrends for May 2007 : Overview

The mood for the month is of the peace-loving mediator who facilitates awareness of one’s social responsibilities towards those who may be disadvantaged in some way. There is no time like the present to reach out to like minded friends and associations for the support and commitment so necessary to advance your cause.

A brilliant full Moon on 2nd May across the Taurus/Scorpio axis intensifies the mood and creates a powerful grand cross through the fixed signs, through developing contacts with Saturn in Leo, Chiron and Neptune in Aquarius: the strength of your convictions is your driving force, challenges are met head on. Not one to back away when things get rough, don’t be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get on with the job at hand; the end result will be worth any sacrifice made now.

Make the most of enhanced networking opportunities in the first week of May as Venus completes its run through Gemini territory. On the 8th, the planet of love and beauty enters the protective and nurturing waters of Cancer - an excellent time to give yourself and those you love some mutual tender loving care.

Communication is the key, and with Mercury the planet of communication entering its familiar territory of Gemini on the 11th, the message is reinforced, expediting exchange of ideas, and giving voice to personal concerns and interests.

Expect to encounter some emotionally charged situations for the first half of the month as Mars the planet of energy and drive completes its journey through the impressionable waters of Pisces. On the 16th his warrior side becomes more visible as he enters his own territory of Aries. Take advantage of this positive energy to advance any cause you may be fighting. The downside may be heightened impatience if events don’t happen quite as quickly as you’d like.

On the heels of Mars entering Aries, a new moon in Taurus pours calm on troubled waters. In the last degrees of the sign, it signifies new beginnings built on a cycle being completed, tying up any loose ends that may be left undone, ensuring the practical side of life is well in place before looking towards a fresh new start. Who knows what new territories are ahead waiting to be explored, this energy is one of endless possibilities.

All star sign Geminis can start celebrating birthdays from the 21st – 10.13 pm to be exact – as the Sun enters their sign. For this month* all new babies born on that day, but before 10.13 pm will be Taurus star-signs – the changeover point commonly referred to as being “on the cusp”.

Neptune, the planet of dreams, turns retrograde on the 25th , providing an excellent time for reflection and exploring your inner life over the next five months.

As the month comes to a close, thoughts are coloured more by the emotion and feelings of the moment when Mercury moves into the sign of Cancer on the 29th. Past memories may be stirring, bringing up faces and places that draw you to revisit.

AstroTrends for April 2007

Overview
Nearing the end of its tenure in the sign of Sagittarius, Pluto looks back over the path well travelled as it turns retrograde on the 1st. Its effect is to look deep within and recognise tasks that perhaps have been neglected or put into the too hard basket. Those born towards the end degrees of the mutable signs – Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces – will be particularly alert to the transforming influence that Pluto may have in their lives at this time.

Also travelling through the sign of Sagittarius, Jupiter follows Pluto’s lead on the 6th and also does an about face - its mission to learn from the experiences of the past three months and gather wisdom from past events and the people they’ve met along the way.

At the same time as Jupiter moves backward, Mars the planet of energy and drive, steams into the emotional waters of Pisces. Channel the energy positively into activities you care passionately about.

Like a social butterfly flitting from pretty flower to pretty flower, Venus enters Gemini on the 12th. Great opportunity for networking over the next few weeks!

Saturn turning direct on the 20th will have many people sighing with relief on all fronts. He is our taskmaster and tester and while in retrograde phase urges us to check that our foundations have been built on solid ground. If business has been slow, perhaps this has been a time to review our resources and make appropriate changes where necessary. Saturn always rewards those who have done their homework!

Aries
20 March-20 April*

With your ruling planet Mars entering the emotional waters of Pisces, you may find yourself in unfamiliar territory. Let intuition be your guide and allow your heart to rule your head for a change. The Sun in your sign is at its most potent on the 9th – time for all Arians to show what they’re made of; but refrain from overstating your case, you may just have to back it up with cold hard facts.

Taurus
20 April-21 May*

Make the most of the good things in life as Venus travels through the last degrees of your sign. From the 12th when she moves into your solar 2nd house, financial matters will be more on your mind. Time to diversify and be aware of additional ways to augment your income; a hobby or interest may provide the key.

Gemini
21 May-21 June*

Venus the planet of love and beauty enters your sign on the 12th - you’re the life of the party and your social life is looking just great. As your ruling planet Mercury moves through your solar 10th house of work and career, your instinctive way with words serves you well. A brilliant idea earns you accolades and inspires you to aim for more unconventional goals.

Cancer
21 June-23 July*

A new moon on the 17th highlights the professional and business sector of your solar chart; while one phase of your work is coming to a close, new seeds are planted for a different direction. If you’ve been working independently you may find that being part of a team or amongst friends becomes more rewarding to you at this time.

Leo
23 July-23 August*

You’re quite a force to be reckoned with when you have your heart set on a course of action. A pioneering spirit takes you to places you’ve never been before and whether its physical or mental travel on your agenda, you’re seeing the world with new eyes. What you learn will be put to good use in your day-to-day life.

Virgo
23 August-23 September*

You may find yourself in new surroundings that are uncomfortable to start with, but the people you meet along the way open doors you might never have dreamed of entering before. Don’t be afraid to step outside the proverbial square, being out of your comfort zone may inspire you to achieve some of your best work yet.

Libra
23 September-23 October*

Don’t be afraid to speak up and voice your real opinion; your honesty is more welcome than words spoken to gain approval. The new moon on the 17th throws new light and meaning on your relationships which are about to enter a more settled phase. Being sincere and up front brings mutual appreciation of each other’s personal values.

Scorpio
23 October-22 November*

Tackle those last minute jobs around the home in the first week of April. Your ruling planet Mars has more entertaining activities in mind as it enters your solar 5th house of leisure and pleasure on the 6th. An excellent time to take up a new hobby or interest, particularly if its one that provides emotional satisfaction and sets the creative juices flowing.

Sagittarius
22 November-22 December*

Your ruling planet Jupiter does an about turn on the 6th, urging you to retrace steps taken and revisit events that may have occurred within the previous three months. You may need to redefine your close relationships, particularly those within the workplace. Don’t try to cut corners and curb any inclination to fast forward events.

Capricorn
22 December-20 January*

If you’ve been feeling frustrated and held back from achieving your goals as quickly as you’d like to, over the past few months, relief is at hand. As long as you’ve done your homework and ensured your foundations are built on stable ground, Saturn turning direct on the 20th gives you the green light to go ahead with renewed confidence in the future.

Aquarius
20 January-19 February*

With Saturn travelling through the relationship sector of your solar chart, you may have been tested on many fronts in all areas of your life. While your obligations and responsibilities towards a partner may have increased, Saturn moving in a more direct motion from the 20th provides you with the opportunity to recognise and re-establish the bonds that have served you both well in the past.

Pisces
19 February-21 March*

With your ruling planet Jupiter turning retrograde through the career sector of your solar chart, it’s time to renegotiate deals or agreements made during the past month. Your mind is alive with new ideas and while some may appear bizarre at first, don’t lose heart if others are resistant to your way of thinking to start with. The cards are in your hands, make the most of your stronger position at this time.

AstroTrends for March 2007

General Overview
A powerful lunar eclipse on 4th March falls across the Pisces/Virgo axis, highlighting the pull between the emotions and clear reasoning. With Uranus also closely connected, it is emotional freedom and independence that is being sought, bringing with it the desire to re-invent oneself and to overcome those niggling periods of low self-confidence that surface from time to time. This full-moon is one where, to be fulfilled, one has to open their arms to all that is new and different in their lives, to jump outside that limiting square.

Mercury turns direct on the 8th in the last degree of Aquarius – all intellectual pursuits get the go ahead for the next 10 days. Thoughts take a more intuitive path on the 18th as Mercury enters the instinctive waters of Pisces.

A partial solar eclipse occurs on the 19th through the end degrees of Pisces – new beginnings and a fresh start is born out of letting go of emotional attachments that no longer serve a supportive and sympathetic purpose.

The opposing forces between Saturn and Neptune which have been in play since August last year are again highlighted this month, see-sawing between illusion (or delusion) and the cold hard facts of life. Work towards turning those dreams into reality – with the energy of Mars injecting a shot of passion into your dreams on the 26th, this could herald an opportune moment to set your goals in motion.

How will the current planetary influences affect your horoscope this month — read on.

Pisces
19 February-21 March*

Both the lunar and solar eclipses on the 4th and 19th will be particularly influential in the lives of Pisceans this month (read more about it in the General Overview). You may feel you’re at an emotional cross-roads but the sign-posts are quite clear in showing the way to the future. Grasp change with a happy heart and let go of any negative attachments that may be holding you back. Surround yourself with positive thoughts, feelings and people who are there with a helping hand and open heart.

Aries
20 March-20 April*

Make the most of the Venus influence through your sign in the first half of the month - time to pamper and indulge in some special treats for no reason at all except that you deserve the best. Your area of friendship and social contacts is energised as your ruling planet Mars enters your solar 11th house – expect an inspirational meeting around the 26th as Mars connects with Neptune the planet of dreams.

Taurus
20 April-21 May*

Celebrate all that is sensual and pleasurable in your life as Venus enters your sign on the 18th – it may not be your birthday yet but you can throw a party anyway! You feel more comfortable and secure in your relationships during this transit. The lunar and solar eclipses on the 4th and 19th highlight your friendship sector as a change in the direction your career takes impacts on your personal associations - as one door closes, many more open.

Gemini
21 May-21 June*

As your ruling planet Mercury turns direct through the compatible sign of Aquarius, your mind is open to both gathering and sharing your knowledge of the world around you – look beyond what is familiar to inspire and motivate you. What you learn now will prove an invaluable asset once Mercury enters your solar tenth house of career and business on 18th March.

Cancer
21 June-23 July*

Cancerians are particularly sensitive to the ongoing lunar phases, and the eclipse on the 4th will be no exception. You may be faced with a moral dilemma but having the cold hard facts to hand will alleviate any emotional stress this may bring about. Rest assured that the truth will always win the day; the solar eclipse on the 19th heralds a fresh start as the past is put behind you.

Leo
23 July-23 August*

Prepare for an emotional roller-coaster ride as your ruling Sun not only eclipses the Moon on the 4th but joins erratic Uranus. Your values are in for a bit of a shake up – you’re pretty clear on what is important to you, but others have different views and may wish to travel a more unconventional path. Your dilemma may be whether you want to go along for the ride.

Virgo
23 August-23 September*

With your ruling planet Mercury travelling through your area of work and service, you’ve been on a fact-finding mission which has taken you back into the past. Reassess your goals in light of what you’ve discovered. A clear head rules the day as Mercury takes the direct approach on the 8th. From the 18th when Mercury enters the more instinctive waters of Pisces, gut feelings appear to override logic and you shift into a more reflective mood.

Libra
23 September-23 October*

Your ruling planet Venus moves into more sensuous territory on the 18th, enhancing both your sense of adventure and your appetite! Sample all the good and pleasurable things that life and love has to offer without tipping the scales; while Librans love the good life, a sense of balance in all areas is the key to enjoying life to the full.

Scorpio
23 October-22 November*

Take time out for home and family for the next month as your ruling planet Mars enters your domestic sector. For do-it-yourselfers, it’s an excellent time to get out the tools and make radical changes about the place - energy-wise you’re on a high and your mind is brimming with new ideas. Your enthusiasm is infectious and the family will want to come along for the ride.

Sagittarius
22 November-22 December*

You could accomplish a great deal this month, as your ruling planet Jupiter forms a beneficial aspect with Saturn. Your natural enthusiasm is channeled productively, and connections made now will be those you can count on for support both now and in the future. A work associate’s departure provides you with an opportunity for advancement.

Capricorn
22 December-20 January*

If your finances need putting in order this is an excellent time to solicit the help of a partner or trusted colleague – the benefits will be mutual and ongoing. A long-awaited payment materialises and there could be happy reason to pop a few champagne corks around the 23rd. Your travel sector is highlighted on the 4th and 19th but all may not be as it appears.

Aquarius
20 January-19 February*

Shift into overdrive as Mars the planet of energy and drive steams through your sign until the first week of April. Your natural eye for originality and invention puts a new twist on an old method and this could well provide a well deserved boost to your reputation and career. Finances get a welcome boost on the 23rd and expect your imagination to be fired up with Mars’ connection with inspirational Neptune on the 26th.

AstroTrends for February 2007

Overview
Mercury the planet of communication, logic and reasoning, enters the emotional waters of Pisces on the 2nd. While intuition may be heightened, logic and reasoning may be clouded by emotional issues.
Mercury turns retrograde on 14 February for a period of three weeks, at the end of month retreating and re-entering the more intellectual territory of Aquarius. As with all Mercury Retrograde periods, take the opportunity presented to re-organise and revise those areas of your life that need attention. The signing of important documents should be postponed if at all possible; alternatively, read the small print carefully.
A lost item may come to light or be returned to you during this phase.

Aquarius
20 January-19 February*

The month begins with a brilliant full moon throwing her light across your sign. You’re fiercely independent but your heart is open to receive others into your life, to celebrate your respective differences. As Mercury retrogrades through your solar 2nd house of material possessions, you may need to reassess whether holding on to something for its sentimental value is actually holding you back.

Pisces
19 February-21 March*

Love is in the air and your social calendar should be looking good! Venus the planet of love and beauty is in an exalted state when transiting your sign, as it does until 21st February. With Mercury travelling through your sign for most of February, only to turn retrograde on the 14th, you may need to revise your plans or find more effective ways to communicate your thoughts and feelings.

Aries
20 March-20 April*

Your ambitions will be fired up, as your ruling planet Mars travels through the more persevering and pragmatic territory of Capricorn in your solar 10th house. Control your natural desire for speedy outcomes; this opportunity only comes around every 22 months so careful planning and organisation is the key to your success in the months ahead.

Taurus
20 April-21 May*

Your ruling planet Venus is strongly placed in the sign of Pisces, highlighting your 11th house of friendship, until the 21st. You might just find yourself in the right place at the right time around the 8th - love enters your life in a most unexpected way through a mutual acquaintance. Feelings of déjà vu of strong and you wonder where you’ve met before.

Gemini
21 May-21 June*

Your ruling planet Mercury takes a backward glance on the 14th and business and career issues are reassessed and revised. You’re feeling uncomfortable in your present position and looking for reasons why this should be so. For those who work well intuitively, your feelings will guide you; but decisions driven by emotion may not work in your favour at this time.

Cancer
21 June-23 July*

You put yourself out there for a family member and make connections with the past. The full Moon on the 2nd highlights how different your and others’ attitude towards money and possessions can be. You gain a renewed awareness of how important it is to remain true to what you value most. This may have nothing to do with money and everything to do with family loyalties.

Leo
23 July-23 August*

The full Moon across your sign on the 2nd highlights your relationship sector and you’re only too happy to see the object of your affections through rose-coloured glasses. A dramatic contact with visionary Neptune sees your spirits soar and your imagination takes flight, seeing endless possibilities all around. No-nonsense Saturn joins the party on the 11th and shows how to turn your dreams into reality.

Virgo
23 August-23 September*

With Venus the planet of love together with Mercury moving through your solar 7th house of relationships, your heart is ruling your head and romance is on your mind. You may need to put some plans on hold when Mercury turns retrograde on the 14th - circumstances change and you may be recalled to reassess or rectify a problem in the workplace.

Libra
23 September-23 October*

You’re looking to bring a more social atmosphere to the workplace as your ruling planet Venus travels through your solar 6th house. You’re ready to lend a sympathetic ear to colleagues and are sensitive to their needs. An unexpected meeting on the 8th opens new doors and provides you with the opportunity to follow a new and exciting path.

Scorpio
23 October-22 November*

No energy is wasted while your co-ruling planet Mars transits energy-efficient Capricorn in your solar 3rd house of day-to-day activities. Your progress may be controlled but for good reason; you never lose sight of the goal ahead and your persistency, together with a rather unique talent to recognise creative ways to solve problems, wins the day.

Sagittarius
22 November-22 December*

With your ruling planet Jupiter in a challenging aspect with Venus you may be tempted to go after the good life with gay abandon with little thought of the price you may have to pay. Conversely, your emotional buttons are pushed and your natural generosity and trust in others is tested; you may be inclined to give indiscriminately to those who least deserve it.

Capricorn
22 December-20 January*

Mars the planet of energy and drive is at it’s most potent when travelling through Capricorn during its 22-month cycle. Make the most of this opportunity now as Mars travels through your sign until the end of the month. Think of Mars as providing you with a refuelling stop, an invitation to recharge your batteries. Your energies will be focused on the goals ahead and you’ll be at your most efficient.

AstroTrends for January 2007

General Overview of the New Year chart

As the bells ring in the new year, the Moon passes through the last degrees of Taurus and enters Gemini in the 9th House of the new year chart: overall this heralds a time to let go of past attachments to long held beliefs that no longer serve their purpose. Be prepared to explore different options and create dialogue with all manner of people of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds – everyone will be a winner.

Saturn moving retrograde until April 19 through the sign of Leo, focuses on the need to re-evaluate all those structures in our lives, whether they be financial, domestic, personal or professional. Some areas may need strengthening while others may need to be demolished. Ensure all foundations laid are built to withstand the test of time and you will be able to forge ahead in the knowledge of a job well done.

New Year celebrations leave all restraints behind as Venus moves through the final degrees of Capricorn to enter the more open-minded and sociable territory of Aquarius. Mind matters where relationships are concerned and if the connection is made on an intellectual level, friendship and romance will follow.

Mercury follows Venus’ lead on the 15th, the mind stimulated by all that is innovative, original and off the wall. Interestingly, Mars two days later leaves the fancy-free and explorative territory of Sagittarius to establish and bring form to its visionary progress of the previous six weeks in Capricorn. Mars is ‘exalted’ in the sign of Capricorn, bringing focus and purpose to all endeavours.

A new moon in the late degrees of Capricorn may sow the seeds of the future by discarding elements of the past that no longer serve a purpose.

It will be happy birthday to all Aquarians from 12.02 am on the 21st when the Sun enters that sign, and accompanied by the Moon, Mercury, Venus and Neptune it is an excellent time for like-minded people to network, meet – but most of all to celebrate - all that makes us the unique individuals we are.

Venus the planet of love and beauty moving into the emotional waters of Pisces on the 28th embraces tolerance, compassion and unconditional love. Many may be tempted to view the world – and their loved ones - through the romantic glow of rose-coloured glasses.

How to make the best of January’s planetary energies . . . read on.

Capricorn
22 December-20 January*

Tune in to the vibrations of the full moon across your sign on the 4th. Emotional issues are highlighted and doorways are opened for you to express your feelings towards your loved ones openly and honestly. Some may need time to process, and a Capricorn new moon two weeks later gives you the opportunity to let go of past attitudes that no longer serve you, to start afresh with a clean slate.

Aquarius
20 January-19 February*

You’re in your natural element as Venus the planet of love breathes fresh air into your sign on the 4th. Mind matters where relationships are concerned - once the connection is made on an intellectual level, friendship and romance will surely follow. Fortunate connections are made 13th/14th January which may lead to your making plans to travel further afield.

Pisces
19 February-21 March*

As Jupiter the planet of expansion settles into the career sector of your solar chart, all manner of opportunities may be opening up for you. Inspiration is working overtime and your original and innovative ideas are coming thick and fast. Your challenge will be to not let your enthusiasm run away with you; channel your creativity effectively and productively so that you actually have something concrete to show for it.

Aries
20 March-20 April*

As your ruling planet Mars enjoys the freedom and openness of its travel through the fire sign of Sagittarius, you may be tempted to go off in all directions at once with little regard for the consequences. Once Mars enters the more pragmatic territory of Capricorn on the 17th you may be brought down to earth with a big thump. Time to muster all that energy into something more constructive.

Taurus
20 April-21 May*

With your ruling planet Venus moving into the career sector of your solar chart, you find pleasure in employing your intellectual talents to enhance your professional life. The stars are on your side. The weekend of the 13th/14th may bring a lucky windfall but if you’re not one to take chances, use the favourable aspects to approach those with the resources to back your business interests.

Gemini
21 May-21 June*

As the bells ring in the new year, the Moon passes through the last degrees of Taurus and enters your sign. This heralds a time to let go of past attachments to long held beliefs that no longer serve their purpose. You’re at your best in a networking role - explore different options and create dialogue with all manner of people of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. Everyone will be a winner.

Cancer
21 June-23 July*

You’re receptive at the best of times to the fluctuating tides and phases of the moon; this month’s full moon in your sign on the 4th will be especially felt in the days leading up to it. You are at your emotional peak and you may wonder why others don’t respond as you do. A chance meeting sees you inspired to follow a different path.

Leo
23 July-23 August*

It’s the holiday season and with Jupiter the planet of expansion and growth fuelled by the enthusiasm of Mars in your 5th solar house of leisure and pleasure, you’re living life to the max. The more pragmatic influence of Saturn in a helpful relationship with your Sun sees you keen to maintain your fitness level at its peak – your challenge is to happily combine the two influences so one benefits the other.

Virgo
23 August-23 September*

With your ruling planet Mercury transiting your solar 5th house of rest and recreation, there’s nothing more relaxing that getting away with a good book or for getting your hands dirty in the garden to create something beautiful. As Mercury moves into Aquarius on the 15th your mind takes a more original and inventive turn, a great opportunity to combine your practical experience and know-how with something new and ingenious.

Libra
23 September-23 October*

The stars are on your side and your ruling planet Venus in her natural element – fun, laughter and social contacts readily made. You’re in love with love and someone you meet on the 19th may appear to be the soul-mate of your dreams. Enjoy the moment but remember that some romances are strictly for the screen – there may be more to this person than meets the eye.

Scorpio
23 October-22 November*

Real change is possible when both your co-ruling planets Mars and Pluto join forces on the 13th and 14th. This combination can either be one of destructive power brought on by anger directed indiscriminately, or if harnessed constructively a force of transformation of a most positive nature. No time for quick fixes, the changes made now will have long-lasting effects.

Sagittarius
22 November-22 December*

While Jupiter transiting your sign for the current year broadens your horizons and signifies enormous capacity for growth, it is also in a helpful aspect with Pluto the planet of transformation and regeneration. You’re not interested in change for the sake of it, but change through careful analyzing and elimination of any negative influences that may be holding you back.

General overview for December 2006

A brilliant full moon on the 5th heralds the need to diversify in all manner of ways to make the best of the changing currents and conditions around us; the mood is optimistic and full of promise, with all eyes to the future.

On the 6th, at the same time as Mars the planet of energy and drive leaves the passionate waters of Scorpio to move into the freedom loving territory of Sagittarius, Saturn makes a backward glance to what has gone before. This can be a frustrating time for those in business for the urge to get ahead is delayed by the need to ensure that all systems already put in place have been built on firm foundations.

Mercury, the planet of communications joins the Sagittarian band on the 8th but with its close proximity to fiery Mars expect words said in haste to be accompanied by a barb or two.

Venus the planet of love enters the more serious and formal territory of Capricorn on the 11th. Great for making the right connections and meeting influential people.

A Sagittarian new moon on the 21st is accompanied by the intensity of Pluto. Expect all new beginnings to be born from the passion of the past bringing with it a profound sense of transformation.

The Sun entering the sign of Capricorn on the 22nd marks the summer solstice in the southern hemisphere. The longest day of the year, the holiday timing of the summer solstice is rooted in ancient religions and a cause for the celebration of light and life.

Bringing the month to a close, Mercury on the 28th enters Capricorn — start thinking about those new year resolutions, it’s all about setting goals you know you can achieve.

How will the planetary energies influence your horoscope this month — read on.

Capricorn -— Birthday of the month
22 December-20 January*

On the 6th your ruling planet Saturn takes a backward glance towards the muddy waters of Neptune. Some vital link in what has gone before has been overlooked. To ensure the future success of any project or plan you have on the table, some shrewd detective work may be needed to uncover what – or who - that missing link may be.

Aquarius
20 January-19 February*

Jupiter the planet of wisdom and growth enters your solar 11th house, increasing your contacts with like-minded people and urging you to join in the fun rather than playing the role of observer. A friend provides you with a rather unique chance to change your financial situation. Time is of the essence with this one, any procrastination on your part may see the opportunity slip from your grasp.

Pisces
19 February-21 March*

You’re much more comfortable taking a behind-the-scenes role but with Saturn turning retrograde in your solar 6th house of work and service, you’re being taken back into a position that requires you to reassess your current responsibilities and obligations. Meanwhile Venus lends a helping hand and you’re able to turn onerous tasks into much more pleasurable affairs.

Aries
20 March-20 April*

As your ruling planet Mars leaves the brooding waters of Scorpio on the 6th it shifts into overdrive and sprints happily into the bold and brave territory of Sagittarius. Learn to pace yourself early on the course; all that new-found energy focused towards one clear goal will bring you a tremendous dose of satisfaction and achievement.

Taurus
20 April-21 May*

A dream comes true for some while others may meet that special someone who brings a sparkle to their eye and sets the heart beating faster. Your ruling planet Venus is travelling through more adventurous territory; enjoy the moment and the freedom to be yourself. Insight of a more profound nature comes to you on the 8th and from the 12th you’re in a more serious mood; commitment could be on the agenda.

Gemini
21 May-21 June*

The full moon across your sign on the 5th puts you firmly in the driver’s seat. You’re calling the shots and in no mood for accommodating those who can’t keep up the pace. Leo

Virgo

Your ruling planet Mercury moves into the fiery and far-reaching sign of Sagittarius on the 8th bringing with it an open mind and appreciation of the bigger picture. Don’t bog yourself down with petty details and enjoy the view; you’ll be ready for a more circumspect  approach on the 28th when Mercury enters Capricorn’s realistic territory.

Libra
23 September-23 October*

Your ruling planet Venus, the goddess of love and pleasure, is travelling through adventurous Sagittarian territory. While your current mantra might be that life is for loving and living you’re heading towards a close contact with more intense connections around the 8th December; no-strings-attached gives way to depth and passion and infatuation could easily become obsession.

Scorpio
23 October-22 November*

As both Mars and Jupiter enter your solar 2nd house of finances expect to have a huge amount of energy at your disposal to direct towards this area of your life. Jupiter’s influence is one of generosity and bounty and the 11th December is a time when the combined influences will be at their most potent.

Sagittarius
22 November-22 December*

It’s full speed ahead as your ruling planet Jupiter enters your sign, starting a fresh 12-year cycle of growth and experience. Those Sagittarians with late November birthdays will be the first to experience the good luck and fortune that often accompanies a Jupiter transit over their sun-sign. With Mars also in joining in the fun on the 8th, your energy peak should be at its most potent for the rest of the month.

General overview for October 2006

Messenger Mercury leads the planets this month with its entry into deep-thinking Scorpio. All communication of an investigative nature is favoured; but with Mercury turning retrograde on the 29th, any decisions made after the 9th October may have to be re-evaluated and revised later.

On the 7th, a full moon across the Libra /Aries axis throws the spotlight on financial matters and values in the chart. Peaceful negotiation is the name of the game and previous adversaries see each other in a new perspective.

A new moon follows two weeks later on the 22nd in the closing degrees of Libra. A new moon is symbolic of sowing the seeds of the future and this new moon carries with it the desire to forge diplomatic relationships with those who respect and honour their differences.

The Sun, action oriented Mars and harmony loving Venues all move into Scorpio on the 24th - an intense shift of emotionally charged energy after their more socially oriented travel through peace-loving Libra.

The month comes to a close with Mercury retracing its steps and Neptune the planet of inspiration actively seeks to turn dreams and schemes into reality.

Scorpio
23 October-22 November*

As Mercury the planet of communication moves into your sign on the 2nd, expect more people to be on your wavelength. If you’re expecting important news from overseas have Plan B at the ready; there may be delays during the last week of the month.

Sagittarius

Doing it right the first time will ensure that nothing has to be repeated when Mercury turns retrograde on the 29th.

Cancer

Your ruling planet Mercury enters your solar 3rd house of short journeys and education on the 2nd. You may find your services are required in a variety of places; or taking up a new course of study or being involved in research may be more your style. Whatever your path at this time, giving quality not quantity is your guide-line.

General Overview for September 2006

With Pluto turning direct after the past five months in retreat, expect much that has been kept under wraps to resurface or to be transformed on some level. General Overview for August 2006

The full moon is an interesting one this month. With the Aquarian moon applying to conjunct Neptune, both in a tight opposition with a Saturn/Sun conjunction in Leo, we could be questioning whether what we see is actually what we believe. Is it for real or are we just imagining the circumstances around us - add to this that both ends of the opposition are squared by Jupiter, imaginations might just run riot.

On the positive side, intuition is heightened but Saturn needs to test us on all levels. The full moon always represents a culmination of what has gone before - to give you clues as to what may be coming to a peak at this time look back to where the new Moon in the early degrees of Leo on 25th July fell in your chart.

Leo
23 July-23 August*

With Mercury the planet of communication entering your sign on the 11th followed closely by Venus the planet of love on the 13th, you are ready to make a statement in your usual spectacular style. You’re feeling good about yourself and not afraid to show it. Some constructive thinking is called for on the 21st which may lead you to question your commitments.

Virgo
23 August-23 September*

The action planet Mars in your sign urges you to set your sights firmly on the goal ahead and go for it. Make the most of fortunate energies around the 8th, but be prepared to diversify where needed; opportunities grasped at that time may lead you down a totally unexpected pathway. From the 13th you may be more comfortable playing a behind-the-scenes role.

Libra
23 September-23 October*

Your professional and emotional life has merged; you may be called upon to put your faith and trust in someone who ultimately leads you to understand more about yourself and your future direction. This opens up exciting possibilities which sees you playing a significant part in group activities or discussions with like-minded people.

Scorpio
23 October-22 November*

You are of a creative mind that is constantly inspired and stimulated by the power of positive thinking. A whole new world is opening up for you and you’re the scriptwriter, director and producer of your life. Surround yourself with friends and colleagues who share your dreams and inspirations - their support is vital to your success.

Sagittarius
22 November-22 December*

Much intensity has been focused on work that takes you behind-the-scenes and both your home and emotional life is the richer for it. Creative forces are behind a career move and leads you into a more critical and analytical role. Enjoy one of those rare eureka! moments around the 9th which may lead to more unexpected discoveries on the 13th.

Capricorn
22 December-20 January*

You start the month on a high note and an unexpected jaunt with your loved one to celebrate a special occasion. Conversely, your professional life sees restraint and responsibility as the order of the day as you’re called upon to look after others’ interests. Ensure that your generosity doesn’t leave you short-changed and disillusioned.

Aquarius
20 January-19 February*

With the full moon on the 9th illuminating your sign, you’re working hard to give shape and form to your dreams. Those of a mystical bent may meet an inspirational figure to guide them. Resist the urge to take responsibility of a situation that sees others looking to you for direction, you may end up with more than you bargained for.

Pisces
19 February-21 March*

You’re in retreat mode and happiest in your own company, and while the creative juices are flowing your imagination knows no boundaries. Put to good use your work will be the richer for it. As taskmaster Saturn opposes your ruling planet Neptune your good nature and willingness to help those in need will be put to the test.

Aries
20 March-20 April*

As your ruling planet Mars transits your area of work and service, your energy and drive will be focused more on those projects that require an analytical and discerning eye. You may be called upon to play a judicial role on the 9th. Unexpected changes or upsetting circumstances around the 13th may require some quick action on your part.

Taurus
20 April-21 May*

You’re drawn to groups or friends who have a rather quirky view of life. Emotional links are made and you see your world in a new light. As your ruling planet enters your area of home and family on the 13th you’re at your happiest in childhood surroundings and reconnecting with the past.

Gemini
21 May-21 June*

You’ll feel right at home when your ruling planet Mercury leaves the emotional waters of Cancer and enters more adventurous Leo on the 11th. Your area of communication and travel is positively highlighted and you’re happiest when you’re mobile. But while free and easy is more your style, day to day responsibilities require you to focus getting your priorities in order.

Cancer
21 June-23 July*

Love blossoms and the world seems an exciting place to be in. For many Cancerians caution is thrown to the wind as they let their feelings be known. Whether it’s through the written or spoken work yours is the poetic and romantic mind. More material concerns capture your attention from the 11th and the new moon on 24th urges you to put new systems in place to accommodate changes to your daily routine.

General Overview for July 2006

What better way to start the month than with a supportive sextile aspect between Venus in Gemini and Saturn in Leo. While one may see this as the opportunity to give form to scattered energies, others could just see it as a social butterfly with a purpose!

Mercury turning retrograde in the early degrees of Leo on the 5th reminds us that we may need to gather more information before successful completion of plans can be achieved. Returning to the emotional waters of Cancer on the 10th, Mercury remembers past conversations and connections and revisits old memories. Build on those experiences to move forward with confidence as Mercury turns direct on the 29th.

While Mercury returns to the past, Jupiter looks to the future as its period of retrogradation in Scorpio ends on the 6th. Re-engage those passions for what you love doing best, widen your scope and your vision and go wherever your passion leads you.

A full moon in Capricorn on the 11th may give a more pragmatic approach to emotional issues. How can you best use the memories of past experience encouraged by Mercury retrograde to further your goals? This full moon may well hold the key.

How will these energies influence your horoscope this month — read on.

Cancer - Birthday of the Month
21 June-23 July*

Think wisdom and personal growth. Whether it brings an unexpected windfall or encourages you to fix your eyes on far horizons, Jupiter turning direct casts favourable aspects to your sign. Cancerians will be particularly attuned to the ebb and flow of emotions around the full moon on the 10th . Venus the planet of love enters your sign on the 19th, giving you that feel-good romantic glow.

Leo
23 July-23 August*

The planet of communication enters your sign only to do an about turn on the 5th taking you back behind the scenes into more emotional territory. Just when you thought others were on your wave-length a random conversation overheard has you questioning your understanding of the past. You need to look deep within for the answers.

Virgo
23 August-23 September*

You may feel like playing a more active role behind the scenes but with your ruling planet Mercury turning retrograde you may have to put those plans on hold. A friend needs a sympathetic ear and calls on your support. Mars the planet of energy and drive enters your sign on the 23rd, urging you to strike out and make your mark on all that you do.

Libra
23 September-23 October*

Stimulating conversations or harmless flirtations? While your ruling planet Venus travels through changeable Gemini you may be avoiding all but light-hearted company for the first half of the month. Prepare to enter more emotional territory from the 20th when business and career becomes your focus. Recognition and a financial boost comes your way on the 27th.

Scorpio
23 October-22 November*

Now is the time to put all that knowledge and wisdom gained over the past few months to the test. As the ‘great benefic’ planet Jupiter turns to face the future you’re given the go-ahead to continue on your chosen path of personal development. With both your ruling planets making a co-operative aspect on the 14th, your can-do attitude in all business dealings makes you a force to be reckoned with.

Sagittarius
22 November-22 December*

With your ruling planet Jupiter quietly going about its business in all activities that take you behind the scenes, you’re entering an exciting period of your life and secretly amused that you’re the only one that knows it yet. As Venus makes a favourable connection on the 27th , if it’s financial assistance you’re after a friend or colleague must just provide the key.

Capricorn
22 December-20 January*

The full moon in your sign throws the spotlight on relationships and what you value most is seen in a new light. Unexpected visitors or changing circumstances within the family circle are accommodated easily but some financial adjustments may be necessary towards the end of the month.

Aquarius
20 January-19 February*

Your point of greatest return is your openness to all ideas no matter how bizarre or impractical they may be. With your quirky way of looking at the world you see innovative possibilities in the most mundane of subjects. Whether you’re on the verge of a new scientific breakthrough or just able to turn something around to make your life more exciting, your mind is abuzz with ideas.

Pisces
19 February-21 March*

If you’re been engaged on an intensive course of learning over the past few months you’re about to put all that information to good use. Your creative juices are flowing and as long as what you do fulfils your emotional needs success can only be the end result. Don’t overlook how your creativity can be employed in the workplace.

Aries
20 March-20 April*

A past conversation is recalled which leads you to reconnect with a family member. Some emotional issues may need to be cleared before you can comfortably concentrate all you energies on other activities. Sports or more active leisure pursuits play a dramatic role in your life until the 23rd. From then expect to direct your energies in more practical ways as your ruling planet Mars enters your area of work and service.

Taurus
20 April-21 May*

Ongoing changes in the way you earn a living provide an opening for you to spread your wings. You’re on the move but the territory is familiar. You ruling planet Venus makes favourable aspects to the relationship sector of your chart bringing you into contact with people who have overseas or foreign connections. Someone special plays an important part in your future.

Gemini
21 May-21 June*

Make the most of the positive energy around you as Venus the planet of love moves through your sign. While your ruling planet Mercury has fun and good times on its mind, it turns retrograde on the 5th taking you back into the area of finance. Your emotional well-being depends on knowing you have the financial security to fund all those activities you have planned.

Your Stars for the Month of June 2006

Mercury, the planet of communication and messages starts the month by entering the emotional waters of the sign of Cancer on the 3rd. Thoughts and ideas coloured by feelings rather than by reasoning and clear logic. Usually Mercury spends approximately two weeks in a sign but this time around, once it enters the more flamboyant style of Leo communication at the end of the month, it turns retrograde shortly thereafter. Those emotional encounters will be further tested. When a planet takes a backward glance expect changing circumstances to lead you to revisit and re-evaluate previous experiences and decisions made.

Interestingly, at the same time as Mercury operates intuitively, Mars the planet of passion and drive enters centre stage in dramatic Leo – while one puts on an act for all to see, the other plays a more cautionary role.

If you’re up and out at 6.04 am on the 12th, the full Moon across the Gemini-Sagittarius axis should be a wonderful sight to behold. As the sun rises in the east, a splendid full moon sets over the western horizon.

On 17th June a powerful opposition between the Sun and Pluto at the same time as Mars forms a conjunction with Saturn in fiery Leo may reflect a testing time for many. Keeping a level head and conciliatory approach may diffuse potentially conflicting and combative situations. The energy of Mars is one to push forward while Saturn tends to hold back, somewhat like driving a car with the brakes on. Positively, the Mars-Saturn combination can mean constructive action and the ability to focus on well formulated goals.

The Sun joins Mercury in the sign of Cancer on the 22nd, thoughts and feelings in tune. It’s good news for Gemini as the planet of love enters your sign on the 24th – time to get out and about and enjoy all that takes your fancy.

Wanting to start a new project? There will be no better time than the new Moon in Cancer on the 26th to start working with the energies – for best results wait a couple of days thereafter as the waxing moon gathers momentum.

How will these energies work for you this month? The following snippets are just a small example of what to expect.

Gemini
21 May-21 June*

While your focus is on the home front, you’re feeling restless and looking to change your environment. If moving house is not an option, get out the redecorating tools to create a stunning new look. With your ruling planet Mercury opposing Pluto the planet of transformation, the energies are directed on eliminating all that is unnecessary in your life - great for clearing out the cupboards and the filing cabinets.

Cancer
21 June-23 July*

You start the month in a playful mood and children bring you a great source of pleasure. The new moon in your sign on the 26th heralds new beginnings where your finances are concerned and your earning power gets a welcome boost. While this may accompany an increased workload, the experience is of your choosing and one that leads you to enhance your skills and increase your confidence.

Leo
23 July-23 August*

Leos are not generally known to take their pleasures seriously but you may find yourself making hard work out of play early this month. The mood lightens after the 9th as your ruling planet moves into an easy relationship with Neptune, the planet of dreams. An excellent opportunity to take time out - plan a mid-winter escape to wherever takes your fancy.

Virgo
23 August-23 September*

Any deals that have been on the negotiating table may need to be finalised early in the month as the powerful contact between your ruling planet Mercury and Pluto comes to a close. From the 3rd, Mercury moves into more emotional territory and your feelings may hold sway over cool logic. Mixing with friends or expanding your social circle may be more your scene for the next few weeks.

Libra
23 September-23 October*

Your ruling planet Venus forms a challenging planetary configuration which may lead you to question your philosophy of life and love. While you may take relationships seriously right now are you ready to speak of commitment. Freedom may not be all it’s cracked up to be either. You need to take charge, don’t wait for someone else to make up your mind for you.

Scorpio
23 October-22 November*

As your ruling planet Mars moves into your solar 10th house of career and reputation, you have the upper hand in all your business and professional dealings. Don’t be backward in coming forward, to be seen to be in charge is the way to go. If being on the stage or in the limelight is your scene, enjoy the applause - you deserve it.

Sagittarius
22 November-22 December*

The full moon on the 12th across the relationship sector of your solar chart, brings out some fairly powerful emotions. Emotions shared and not withheld will bring positive results and may lead to some personal realisations that are so obvious you wonder why it took you so long. Also a favourable time to establish a more secure financial foundation on which to build for the future.

Capricorn
22 December-20 January*

Fortuna smiles kindly on friendships and all associated activities. Knowing the right person at the right time for the right job is your strength. Mars, the planet of energy and passion joins with your ruling planet Saturn on the 18th. Sporting endeavours and relationships with children are favoured. It may seem like hard work for the first half of the month but the end result will be well worth the effort.

Aquarius
20 January-19 February*

A friend needs your love and understanding to help them through a loss. Calling on your own experiences facilitates healing not only for them but also for yourself. Recording your feelings may bring further understanding and enlightenment that in turn will benefit others. Travel that takes you revisiting familiar places may be high on your agenda this month.

Pisces
19 February-21 March*

You are in for some challenging moments as your freedom loving co-ruling planet Jupiter forms a testing relationship with taskmaster Saturn. There are some past issues that need revisiting and confronting before you feel free enough to move forward. Legal matters, sporting endeavours and family responsibilities are all high on your list of priorities this month and all deserve your undivided attention.

Aries
20 March-20 April*

You may have crossed some fairly emotional territory recently but with your ruling planet Mars about to enter the fiery sign of Leo, you will be on familiar ground. Passion and drive is what you’re about and for the first half of the month this will be directed with a set purpose in mind. Keep you eyes firmly on the goal post ahead and resist the temptation to take the easy way out.

Taurus
20 April-21 May*

Enjoy your ruling planet Venus in your own sign this month. Feel good about yourself and treat yourself to some well deserved pampering. Massage will be particularly therapeutic, make it a regular date rather than a one-off. As Venus slips into the financial sector of your solar chart on the 24th you may come up with a scheme to augment your income. Don’t overlook your creative talents, they might just provide the key.
